Nrses CEU is a gamified continuing education app designed specifically for nurses. It offers a fun and engaging way for nurses to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) while enhancing their knowledge and skills.

Design Summary

our emphasis was on innovating distinct solutions that go beyond conventional approaches to ensure user retention remains high.

Strategy & Objective

The Nrses CEU app revolutionizes nursing education through an innovative gamification strategy, making learning both enjoyable and rewarding. Nurses earn points for activities like completing courses, daily logins, participating in forums, peer reviews, and special challenges. For example, completing a course can earn 100 points, passing an assessment adds 50 points, and daily logins contribute 10 points each day. Active forum participation and peer reviews earn 5 and 20 points, respectively, while special challenges can add up to 200 points.

These points can be redeemed for valuable rewards, enhancing both professional and personal aspects of nurses' lives. Nurses can use points to get discounts on additional CEU courses, reducing the cost of further education. Points can also be applied towards tuition reimbursement for nursing school or advanced degrees. Additionally, points can be redeemed for professional resources like nursing e-books, journals, and study guides, as well as essential nursing tools such as stethoscopes and scrubs.

To promote wellness, the app offers points redemption for gift cards, event tickets to nursing conferences, and wellness benefits like gym memberships or meditation apps. The app keeps users engaged through notifications about new courses, challenges, and rewards. Leaderboards and social sharing features foster friendly competition and community engagement, while regular updates to the reward catalog keep offerings exciting.

Through this gamification strategy, the Nrses app encourages continuous professional development, creating a supportive and rewarding environment for nurses. This approach helps nurses advance their careers, improve patient care, and maintain a balanced, fulfilling professional life.
